Yesterday was the warmest December day I have yet to feel. What little snow we had on the ground was gone by 10:00 and the sweatshirts were pealing off. T-shirts and jeans, and even a pair of red polka dot flip flops..(ok I confess they were mine.) was the dress code for the day. Just a word on the flip flops: I love them. Lisa sent them for mother's day and I only take them off when I have to.
Now, why were Art and Sharon not laying in their beds with visions of sugar plums? Saturday morning right? Sounds like a plan right?
Sing this to 12 Days of Christmas (last verse)
12 strands of twinkly lights
Eleven extra bulbs
Ten helping hands
Nine sparkling reindeer
Eight flashing snowflakes
Seven candy canes
Six colorful lollipops
Five children under 12
Four extra outlets
Three wrapped candies
Two christmas trees
and a Gingerbread house ready for a parade! It was so cute!
Apparently the judges thought so too because we came home with the first ever award in the parade for KinderCare....
So it was fun and worth it!
Maybe next weekend we can stay in our beds with sugarplums dancing in our heads!
Today it's 60 degrees, so warm and nice. We drove to Bailey to go see my doctor and on the way home the sun was shining in through the window and I just closed my eyes and it felt so warm! How lucky can you be!
Conversation with Sara:
Mimi don't you think it would be fun if you sent me cookies in the mail?
Oh yes, Sara I think that would be really fun.
Mimi, I never got any cookies in the mail before.
Really?
Yes, I was hoping that I could get cookies in the mail next week.
Sara, I think you will most definitely get cookies in the mail next week!

I love your gingerbread house float. It looks so adorable. Good job! I bet the parade was so much fun. I wish Sara and Evan could have been there to see it, they would have loved it!
That is SERIOUSLY SO cute! I can't believe how nice it turned out - especially considering the original snow globe plan - glad that got voted off. Congrats on the Frosty Award!
