I arrived in Indiana at 11:40 pm. after working all day. Imagine my delight when not one but both of my beautiful daughters picked me up! We never stopped talking and having fun!
Lisa was so wonderful to drive down with the kids, (we were so bummed that Tom could not make it)
In hopes that Tom was coming, however, Melanie and Brad planned wonderful meals and we all got to enjoy them!
The kids all had so much fun at the Pumpkin Patch. Selecting a pumpkin, enjoying a hay ride, finding seeds throughout the corn maze made for such a fun day. Sara insisted on wearing a long sleeve shirt because it was her pumpkin shirt, as you can see. It was about 90 degrees but she had her mind set! So since we were so hot, we had to buy pumpkin sippies, which contained fresh apple cider...delicious!
After our refreshing drink, somewhere in the middle of the pumpkin maze, Savanna informs her father and I that she has to go potty. Brad elected to stay in the maze with Sara and continue looking for seeds so they could win a prize. I took Sassy out of the maze to the only available place, a porta-potty.
Anyone who knows me knows that I do not like using porta potty's. I especially don't like using them with two year olds, for the obvious reasons. Here is how this went:
Mimi: Sassy, when we go in there you can't touch anything. Only hold on onto Mimi, that's all ok.
Sassy: Ok Mimi.
Mimi: Sassy, remember only hold on to me, ok.
Sassy Ok.
(we're all situated now, it's about 110 degrees in this unit and we're waiting)
Mimi: Sassy, can you go potty now?
Sassy: In a minute Mimi.
(waiting some more)
Mimi: Sassy, How about now? (I'm roasting like a leg of lamb)
Sassy: Pausing, Mimi, you have to sing happy birthday to my potty.
Mimi: What honey?
Sassy: If you sing Happy Birthday to my potty I think it will come out.
Mimi: (hoping she's kidding, knowing she's not) Ok...Happy Birthday.... (you get the picture)
I was thinking the whole time, that I wished I could have been the person waiting outside listening to all of this, what a laugh!
Another day another moment in time:

Sammy had fun at the park watching his cousins zoom zoom on their bikes and sliding down slides.
Since you can't zoom all day long on your bike (or eat snacks all day either) Sometimes you need a hug....Evan got lots of hugs from me that day!
Sassy and I had to catch a hug too! We sure had fun at the play ground that day! Thanks Kids!
