Moving day came and went, thankfully! On those special days, it's always good to remember that there really are only 24 hours in a day, and it too shall pass.
We left Bailey all loaded by noon and were completely unloaded by 6 p.m. It was quite a day! This past week has brought 11.5 hour days or more and each day we get closer and closer to being settled both at work and at home. Resting seems a priority now!
Mickey has had a similar experience!
Art closes the door and brings the flag from Shawnee today(Sunday). He has been waxing floors and mowing lawns to make it ready for the next person who has the unique opportunity to sit on the porch as we did, watch the beautiful storms blow through, enjoy the quiet and darkness in the evenings and observe nature at it's very finest.
It goes without saying, If your lucky Enough to Live in the Mountains, Your Lucky Enough.
What a wonderful experience to be able to return to Bailey this past five years, renew friendships, help and be helped through the different circumstances that have brought us all closer together and be able to leave and feel like we completed all that we set out to do. We leave knowing that this is the right thing for us and for our family always looking forward with anticipation, and looking back where we have been with a smile.
A special thank you to those near and dear who have been supportive and positive to us in this decision. ( You know who you are and who you are not).
Balloon Festival in Colorado Springs!

Labor Day Weekend, our first official weekend here...we watched in celebration as over 30 balloons took off from Memorial Park soaring in and around our neighborhood! What a thrill to be able to see this up close after so many years.
As Art prepares himself for his first flight in over 20 years, his first time at the ocean and the redwood trees; we pray for peace that Cory can return to the United States, blessings on our families who are away from us, that they will have peace in their homes, restful nights sleeps and pain-free days.
