Hong Kong Cory

While Aunt Jessica was playing princess in South Carolina with Sara, and Evan was resting from his surgery I got a phone call from Cory!

He called me from the flight deck of the Ronald Reagan. He described to me the transitions you go through when you are at sea for 31 days. It's the same as grief...disbelief that your not going to go back to port, anger that this is now your home, your car, your entertainment, and then acceptance, that its not so bad after all!

He told me that the sea is the most beautiful color of blue you can imagine when your that far away from any land.

He said seeing Hong Kong is something that we can't imagine because it is so big and so spread out and there are so many high rise buildings.

He enjoyed being one of the tallest people in the city!

He was happy and enjoying his deployment!
